Privacy Policy

JapChi is an independent iOS application. For privacy inquiries, contact us at privacy@japchi.com.

We collect only the data necessary to provide the game experience:

• Account identifiers — a unique user ID generated by Firebase Authentication, linked to your chosen sign-in method.
• Display name / email — provided by your Apple, Google, or Facebook account at sign-in, used solely to personalise your experience.
• Game statistics — puzzle attempt counts, scores, streaks, and timestamps, stored in Firebase Firestore.
• Device information — iOS version and device model, collected by Firebase automatically for crash reporting.

We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, health data, or any other sensitive category.

JapChi uses Firebase Authentication (provided by Google LLC) to manage sign-in. We support three providers:

• Sign in with Apple — Apple may provide a private relay email address. We store only what Apple sends us.
• Sign in with Google — Google provides your name and email address. We store only what Google sends us.
• Sign in with Facebook — Facebook provides your name and email address. We store only what Facebook sends us.

Firebase Authentication data is processed under Google'sFirebase Privacy and Security documentation.

Your puzzle results, streaks, and daily scores are stored inFirebase Firestore, allowing you to resume your progress across devices. This data is associated with your Firebase user ID and is not publicly visible to other players unless you explicitly share a result.

Firebase Firestore is operated by Google LLC and governed by theGoogle Cloud Data Processing Addendum.

JapChi contains no advertisements. We do not integrate any advertising SDK, affiliate network, or sponsored content. There is no ad-tracking identifier (IDFA) usage.

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal data to third parties for their own commercial purposes. We do not share data with data brokers or analytics resellers.

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Crashlytics) — Google Privacy Policy
• Apple Sign In — Apple Privacy Policy
• Google Sign In — Google Privacy Policy
• Facebook Login — Facebook Data Policy

We do not integrate any other third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising libraries.

We retain your account and game statistics for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailingprivacy@japchi.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

Crash logs collected by Firebase Crashlytics are automatically purged after 90 days per Google's standard retention schedule.

JapChi is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum digital age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact privacy@japchi.comand we will delete it promptly.

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us atprivacy@japchi.com.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "effective date" at the top of this page. Continued use of JapChi after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
